Tips Membeli komputer atau laptop

Ketika anda akan membeli PC atau laptop anda sering dihadapkan dengan banyaknya pilihan. Entah itu pilihan merek, pilihan jenis prosessor dan lain sebagainya. Sehingga anda kebingungan untuk memilihnya. Disini ada beberapa faktor yang dapat anda pertimbangkan dalam menentukan pilihan:

1. Ini yang utama. Sesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Tentukan dari awal kebutuhan untuk keperluan apa. Apakah lebih sering akan digunakan untuk browsing internet, sekedar mengerjakan tugas kantor, bermain game, merancang desain sebuah bangunan, atau untuk keperluan multimedia.
2. Jika sudah ditentukan kebutuhannya untuk apa saja. Yang kedua, anda harus perhitungkan dana yang akan dikeluarkan. Karena, harga sebuah komputer untuk keperluan bermain game dan hanya untuk chatting itu berbeda.
3. Tentukan komponennya. Pertama, motherboard (mobo) untuk PC. Pilihlah mobo dengan kualitas yg lumayan (dalam artian jangan baru pake satu tahun sudah bermasalah). Sebut saja merek Gigabyte, Asus, DFI, untuk kualitas sedang hingga atas. Bisa juga merek ECS, Biostar. Utk laptop pilihlah dari merek yang dukungan purna jualnya bagus. Anda tidak mau kan kalo laptop anda bermasalah mesti servis ke luar negeri.
4. Pilih chipset yang mendukung integrated chipset. Artinya, jika anda tidak mempunyai dana yang cukup untuk membeli kartu grafis add-on. Anda masih bisa menggunakan komputer tanpa menggunakan kartu grafis karena sudah disediakan oleh mobo anda. Chipsetnya bisa Intel, nForce, atau AMD.
   
5. Kemudian, prosessor. Tidak masalah antara AMD atau Intel. Itu tergantung selera anda. Setidaknya pilihlah prosessor yang dual core. Karena aplikasi sekarang sudah banyak dioptimalisasi untuk penggunaan dual core.
6. Pilihlah memori yang telah mendukung DDR3. Karena penggunaan DDR2 akan segera tergantikan oleh memori DDR3. Harganya pun sudah relatif terjangkau. Pilihlah dengan kapasitas minimum 1 hingga 2 GB.
7. Harddisk. Pilihlah dengan kapasitas antara 250 GB hingga 500 GB. Atau mungkin 1 TB. Kapasitas besar sangat bermanfaat bagi anda yang mempunyai koleksi MP3 ataupun DVD Blu Ray dengan tampilan HD.
8. Kartu grafis. Sebaiknya minimal menggunakan kapasitas 256 MB dengan dukungan Shader Model 2.0 dan DirectX 9.0. Karena sistem operasi misalnya win vista membutuhkan kartu grafis dengan dukungan directx 9 untuk tampilan aeronya.
   
9. Gunakan Power supply yang mensupport daya dengan kekuatan murni. Artinya, jika anda membeli power supply dengan daya 300 w. Pastikan itu memang benar-benar 300 w.
10. Lebih baik gunakan monitor LCD daripada CRT. Karena harganya yg semakin terjangkau. Hemat ruang dan hemat listrik. Dan lebih ramah dengan kesehatan mata pengguna. Utk pengguna laptop pasti pake LCD kan ...hehehehe.
11. Keyboard dan mouse. Pilih saja yang nyaman dipakai. Kebanyakan sekarang sudah menggunakan koneksi USB. Ada juga varian yang wireless. Silahkan pilih saja.
    
12. Oh ya,...terakhir setidaknya anda membutuhkan UPS yang berfungsi sebagai tenaga listrik cadangan jika sewaktu-waktu listrik di tempat anda bekerja padam.
